Värttinä is the most famous Finnish folk music ensemble whose trademark is the special vocals – “korkeelta ja kovva” which means “high and loud”. The powerful and charismatic female singers are the founder of the ensemble Mari Kaasinen, Susan Aho and Karoliina Kantelinen. The recordings of Värttinä have been released by international record companies like Polygram, Warner and BMG. At Christmas Jazz, the most spectacular jazz singers of Estonia Kadri Voorand will take the stage as a guest.
