The ensemble’s name is no coincidence: its leader, Séverine Morfin, plays a master-crafted viola made from maple, and her longstanding passion for exploring the sounds of nature has deeply shaped her compositions. Céline Grangey – familiar to attentive Jazzkaar audiences from Eve Risser’s Red Desert Orchestra – enriches the quartet’s soundscape with her natural sound-based design.
