Sabrina Malheiros (Brazil)

Rio’s original nu-bossa star, Sabrina Malheiros, is an internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter, delivering golden era bossa, soul, samba, disco & dance music, in an original cutting edge fusion of brazilian & contemporary styles for the 21st century. A best seller around the world, Sabrina has released four original productions: Equilibria (2005), New Morning (2008), Dreaming (2011) & Clareia (2017).

As the daughter of Alex Malheiros, bass player of the legendary brazilian group Azymuth, Sabrina has a truly rich musical heritage & has been performing live around the world & recording from a very early age.

Her music has been described as “nu bossa”, combining house beats with jazz and samba influences and “cool, detached-sounding vocals”, and critics have compared her to Brazilian contemporaries Bebel Gilberto and Céu.
