The guitarist and composer Ryo Kawasaki has been one of the key promoters of fusion since the late 60s. He has played and recorded with many top musicians of the world. In 2016, he formed the group Ryo Kawasaki & Level 8 which includes Kaarel Liiv on bass guitar, Raun Juurikas on keyboards, drummer Eno Kollom, and as a guest, the Brazilian singer Denise Fontoura joins in for the jubilee concert of Kawasaki’s. The name of the band – Level 8 – symbolises the musician’s eight creative career phases in Japan, USA, and Estonia.
