This marks the first significant anniversary of Old Love Will Rust, the debut album of Rita Ray, a true crown jewel in Estonia’s soul music scene. We are celebrating the successful 2019 release, which garnered four nominations at the Estonian Music Awards and the Young Jazz Talent award at Jazzkaar 2021. Most importantly, it signalled the powerful beginning of an exceptional musician and composer’s career, both in Estonia and internationally.

The charismatic Rita Ray is one of the rare artists who delivers powerful performances both in the studio and live. With a solid musical foundation, she excels in arranging for orchestras, writing music and lyrics, and co-producing, resulting in authentic and distinctive creations. While her debut album launch only drew a few hundred attendees, she showcased her second album, A Life of Its Own (2022), with an orchestra at Estonia’s largest concert hall, performing for an audience of 2,000.

Alongside her powerful voice and refined sense of style, Rita Ray’s rise to stardom is driven by her strong determination to establish herself as an international artist. Sold-out performances at Stuttgart Jazzopen, Hamburg’s Reeperbahn Festival and several successful tours in Germany are just a few of her recent notable achievements, which have taken Rita Ray’s music beyond the borders of her homeland.

In the spirit of a true birthday concert, fans will have the opportunity to enjoy their favourite tracks from the debut album while also witnessing the evolution of the young artist’s work over time!

Special thanks to Noblessner.
