“The songs from the „Little Lake“ record have been good companion for 15 years. It is often said after the concert that “my child agrees to go to bed and falls asleep only on this record” or “I have been living abroad for a while and this record is my favorite connection to home”. It has inspired people to learn Estonian and has been the sender of love expressions. This year marks the 15th anniversary of the release of “Little Lake” and its presentation concert here at Jazzkaar, and I thought it is time to celebrate it all. When Alari Piispea and Lauri Liivak came up with ideas for recording in 2004, they got their hands on a tedious and a little scared, but all the more grateful and dedicated young singer with little experience in performing original work. My solo career was boosted this mighty team and I still worship them. This time the stories of “Little Lake” will sound in a new composition, in a new form and in a new time, because I, too, am new. “
