Home concert: Mälgand family band

For the fourth year, homes will become part of the festival’s locational variety with intimate concerts all around Tallinn and for the first time also in Suurupi and Kuressaare. Musicians will become full members of the host-families and greet the music fans in unique atmosphere and intimate sound palette. The homes will open for one special evening only!

The home concert at the Old Town will take the audience on April 23 to the home of Laura & Kristjan, where Mälgand family band will take the stage. Already well-known artists to Estonian audiences, bassist Mihkel Mälgand and pianist Ülo Mälgand have been on the scene for years. Wider public, however, is not aware that there are actually 4 of the brothers, two of them, who are going about their daily lives in London, are also talented musicians. Mälgands’ debut project, which they call Mälgand Bros. is exclusively put together for Jazzkaar.
