The Autumn Jazz season opens with a virtuous journey through the jazz classics to new music from Estonia. A trio lead by a young talented pianist and composer Holger Marjamaa will perform songs by Herbie Hancock, Thelonius Monk and Johnny Mercer among pieces from their own new record “Mostly Standards”. The pianist will be accompanied by Estonia’s busiest bassist Heikko Remmel, one of Finland’s best-known drummers Jussi Lehtonen and Mairo Marjamaa, the brightest saxophonist of his own generation.
