The enchanting Cyrille Aimée returns to Estonia! The French vocalist, who has ascended to the very forefront of today’s jazz scene, is without doubt one of the brightest stars of her generation. Her radiant, technically masterful voice, paired with boundless creativity and playfulness, brings fresh dimensions even to time-honoured styles. At Christmas Jazz, Aimée will present her Grammy-nominated album À Fleur de Peau, released last year. The record showcases her most personal work to date – an intimate, multilingual journey of original compositions and inventive covers, blending jazz, soul, chanson, and Afro-Latin rhythms into a lush and heartfelt celebration of renewal and connection.

Cyrille Aimée is one of those rare artists who seamlessly unite technical virtuosity, emotional presence, and a genre-defying, open-minded approach. Her music is not just something to be heard – it invites you to participate, to feel, and to reflect. Aimée uncovers a fresh spark of inspiration at every turn, and that spark reaches her listeners with effortless charm. Grammy-nominated Aimée visits Estonia for the second time, having already captivated audiences at Jazzkaar 2022 with a sold-out concert that earned thunderous ovations and heartfelt encores. Now she is back – more mature than ever, bringing along her little baby and fresh life experiences that are beautifully reflected in her music.

Cyrille Aimée’s 2008 debut, Cyrille Aimée and the Surreal Band, captivated audiences with its eclectic blend of French and Latin American influences, folksy intimacy, and singer-songwriter poetics, creating a sound uniquely her own. Her 2014 release It’s a Good Day launched her onto the international stage as an acclaimed Mack Avenue Records artist, while her 2019 album Move On featured the track Marry Me a Little, which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Vocal Performance. The past two years have been especially prolific for Aimée. Alongside the album she presents at Christmas Jazz, she released 4.24 this summer, recorded over several nights at New York’s legendary Birdland Jazz Club. Her collaboration with pianist Emmet Cohen has also drawn worldwide attention – their rendition of the beloved chanson La Vie en Rose has garnered more than 7 million views on YouTube, underscoring the broad appeal of Aimée’s vocal artistry well beyond the jazz world.
