The organising team of Jazzkaar 2020 announces that the concert of Dirty Loops will be postponed to a later date. Due to the illness of a band member, Dirty Loops will not be able to perform at Jazzkaar on 9 October. The band’s Estonian concert will be postponed to 27 November.
“We are very sad because Dirty Loops has many fans in Estonia. The musicians themselves were also very much looking forward to performing at Jazzkaar. In cooperation with the band, we quickly found a new date for their Estonian concert. Dirty Loops will delight jazz lovers with their positive, dynamic and energetic music on 27 November at Vaba Lava during the Jõulujazz 2020 festival,” says Anne Erm, the Director and Artistic Director of the festival. Jazzkaar wishes the ill band member a speedy recovery.
Dirty Loops won the hearts of listeners already with their first concerts and recordings. The band’s sound language is a unique blend of pop, fusion, jazz, funk and R’n’B. The group introduces themselves as follows: “Today’s hits the way they should sound!” Their songs have been listened to on Youtube millions of times and they are in the hearts of many listeners.
Due to the changes in the festival programme, the concert of the soul diva Rita Ray will take place at an earlier time and also in a larger hall. She will perform her music for the soul on 9 October at 22:00 at Vaba Lava. At 23:30, Fotografiska Tallinn will host a jam session led by the outstanding young bassist Janno Trump.
Tickets for the Dirty Loops concert previously scheduled for 9 October will be automatically valid on the new concert date. We understand that the updated concert time may not be suitable for all jazz lovers, therefore the Jazzkaar 2020 Festival offers the opportunity to return the tickets or exchange these for gift vouchers. If the updated concert time is not suitable to you, you can return your ticket or exchange it for a gift voucher from 7 October until 7 November 2020. Ticket holders may place their request to return or exchange their tickets here.
Holders of regular tickets can return their tickets at Piletilevi sales points, except at Circle K service stations and the Viru Keskus information point. Jazzkaar Festival encourages culture lovers to support the survival of the festival by not returning their tickets. We are grateful to our partners, the public and all jazz lovers for their understanding and cooperation.
The 31st Tallinn International Jazzkaar Festival will take place from 9 until 15 October 2020 in different locations in Estonia and on 3 November at Alexela Concert Hall in Tallinn. Please see the programme on the festival’s website.
