Jazzkaar is the biggest jazz festival in the Baltics taking place since 1990. Known for its varied programme and bold, contrast solutions, Jazzkaar is one of the flagship music events in Estonia. In 2025 the festival celebrated its 36th edition with a bright and high quality programme including beloved jazz legends, new favourites and emerging talents.
The Estonian music industry has repeatedly acknowledged Jazzkaar’s role in advancing the country’s musical life: in 2015, it was the first festival to be named Estonia’s Best Music Festival, and in 2025 the festival’s organizer, the NGO Jazzkaar Friends Association, received the title of Best Music Event Organizer at the Estonian Music Entrepreneurship Awards.
Jazzkaar is an active developer of the field in Estonia and is a member of both the European Jazz Network and Music Estonia, serving as an important platform for introducing Estonian jazz musicians to international audiences.
Jazzkaar is offering music lovers more than 140 events – among them 48 main programme concerts. In addition, audiences enjoyed a free concert day, urban space projects, exhibitions, artist talks, and masterclasses. In 2025 the festival recorded over 19,300 visits.
