The full programme for Jazzkaar’s Autumn Jazz concert season is now announced! New to the line-up are the French ensemble Séverine Morfin Mad Maple, steeped in the sounds of nature, and the virtuosic Austrian trio HAEZZ. A highlight of this year’s programme is the collaboration with the Design Night Festival – on 4 October, the Krull Quarter will celebrate the festival’s 25th anniversary to the rhythms of I Wear* Experiment’s exclusive set.
Brimming with energy, the always-epic I Wear* Experiment will take the stage at the Design Night Festival’s Repair Shop as part of Autumn Jazz on Saturday, 4 October, presenting an exclusive and ambitious programme that unveils never-before-heard songs and premieres their new single Forest Fire. The concert is conceived in two parts, beginning as an acoustic spectacle – where the trio is joined by the inviting sounds of backing vocals, viola da gamba, harp, and double bass – and building into a full-throttle electronic blaze. This special evening will be recorded, with the band planning to release it as a live album.
On 20 September, Philly Joe’s Jazz Club will be transformed into the soundscape of a nature film. In the music of the French ensemble Séverine Morfin Mad Maple, viola, clarinet, and guitar intertwine with the added colour of natural sounds that blend seamlessly with the instruments’ acoustic timbre. The quartet performs with effortless unity and complete harmony – like the untouched nature that surrounds us.
That same weekend, on 21 September, the Austrian ensemble HAEZZ will perform at Fotografiska Tallinn with music that awakens our senses. Their distinctive line-up – trumpet, tenor saxophone, and double bass – adds rich colours and character to the trio’s sound, earning them nominations for jazz awards in both Austria and Germany.
The Autumn Jazz programme also features two previously announced concerts: Argo Vals will present his new album Lavendel (Lavender) on 4 September at Fotografiska Tallinn, and on 18 October Raul Vaigla, Marie Vaigla, and Tero Saarti will bring the season to a beautiful close with their programme Thulest viidud (Gone With Thule) at the Kumu Auditorium.
The Autumn Jazz 2025 concert season runs from 4 September to 18 October. The full programme is now out, and tickets are on sale!
