Ramuel Tafenau is one of the brightest drummers of the younger generation in Estonia. Being an active musician and collaborating with several famous Estonian musicians, he has been writing his own music since the age of 15. His self-titled debut album “Gather Around” consists of eight instrumental pieces written and produced by Ramuel Tafenau himself, influenced by Pat Metheny, Antonio Sanchez, Bob Reynolds and Janek Gwizdala.
He has invited some of Estonia’s best musicians and good friends to play on the record – Joel Remmel on keyboards, Mihkel Mälgand on bass, Kalle Pilli on guitars. Special guests are Johannes Laas on electric guitar, Allan Järve on flugelhorn and Tobias Tammearu on tenor saxophone.
