collaboration project by two young musicians, <\/span><b>Marten M\u00e4nna<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Mikk Kaasik<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, formed in 2025 out of a desire to write music for the Uno Naissoo Composition Competition \u2013 which the duo duly won with their piece <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oddly Even<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The musical chemistry between the two is so strong that, in a short time, they created a full concert programme of fresh material, which they now bring to Jazzkaar. Their music draws inspiration from jazz fusion and funk, shaped by the influence of bands such as Snarky Puppy, Sungazer, Dirty Loops, and Knower.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marten M\u00e4nna is a drummer and multi-instrumentalist described as an energetic, creative rhythm master with an attentive ear and a steady hand. In autumn 2024, he won the prestigious Round Table competition. A rapidly rising jazz artist, M\u00e4nna truly deserves our attention \u2013 and the ensemble Some Times is living proof of that.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mikk Kaasik is a jazz pianist who released his debut album, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Take One<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in the summer of 2024. The instrumental album blends jazz, fusion, and funk, reflecting the young musician\u2019s boundless energy and curiosity.
