MÄLGAND-KASS-REMMEL-REMMEL feat. Jaan Pehk “Four doublebasses”

Four double basses aka a double bass quartet is an unusual line-up both in little Estonia and in the world. The appealing melodic sound of this manly instrument is revealed in listening to the beauty of its timbre, but the double bass can also be a very virtuosic and rhythmic instrument. Jazzkaar has lately hosted double bass duos Peedu Kass & Mihkel Mälgand and Taavo Remmel & Heikko Remmel, but this autumn the arrangements and creations of four talented Estonian double-bass players can be enjoyed. They will also be joined by a wonderful musician and poet Jaan Pehk.
